Srinagar, Aug 05 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Thursday witnessed one death and 128 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 1,358.
With one more death the death toll in the UT has reached 4,386 and 128 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 322,142
Of the exact number of 322,142 cases, 200,108 are from Kashmir division and 122,034 from Jammu division. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 118 new cases, 90 belong to Kashmir division while as 38 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 200,108 including 197,065 recoveries and 2,238 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 122,034 including 119,333 recoveries and 2,148 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,358 including 805 from Kashmir division and 553 from Jammu division.
With 83 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 316,398 which is 98.22 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 42 from Srinagar, 02 from Baramulla, 09 from Budgam, 07 from Pulwama, 09 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 04 from Bandipora, 09 from Ganderbal, 06 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 38 from Jammu division include 04 from Jammu, 10 from Udhampur, 05 from Rajouri, 06 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 06 from Kishtwar, 04 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 03 from Reasi," officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Thursday said that two fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally has reached to 35. One Covid death has been reported from Govt Medical College Rajouri.
As per officials figures, 71,536 positive cases including 833 deaths and 70,366 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,687 including 282 deaths and 23,268 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,933 including 22,648 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Budgam, 15,208 including 14,966 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,098 including 165 deaths and 13,900 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,334 including 16,092 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,495 cases including 9,365 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,954 including 9,805 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,278 including 11,134 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,585 including 5,521 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,809 including 51,557 recoveries and 1,139 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,320 including 11,146 recoveries and 136 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,969 including 10,674 recoveries and 227 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,309 including 7,063 recoveries and 127 deaths are from Doda, 9,265 including 9,109 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,123 including 7,001 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Samba, 4,660 including 4,580 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,273 including 6,148 recoveries and 96 deaths are from Poonch, 5,974 including 5,880 recoveries and 66 deaths are from Ramban and 6,332 including 6,175 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,921,896 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,745 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,358 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,555,328 persons have completed the surveillance period and 353,079 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 12,009,826 samples are available. Out of 12,009,826 the number of samples tested negative stands at 11,687,684 while as 322,142 have tested positive, among them 1,358 persons are active, 316,398 persons have recovered and 4,386 persons have died—(KNO)
